With a lot of different rules being introduced and restrictions being put in place, the main difference is time. We need more time than we usually do. With many airports working with reduced staff numbers, the operations can be a lot slower than before. As the majority of the world is shopping online, there are certainly opportunities for the Cargo Industry to grow at this time. It's not easy, but it is a good time to be a cargo pilot.
I am missing home and I haven't seen my family for a long time! Myself and my fiancee (pictured above) had to postpone our wedding. We were due to get married in June. It is disappointing, but we have no choice, we will marry when it is safe to do so! The only change for me is that I cannot return home, but given the climate, I consider myself very lucky to be flying.
Seeing family and friends losing their jobs is tough and the world is feeling negative as freedom has been taken away from people. There are no words to describe the current situation. It is not just a sad time for the aviation industry, it is a sad time for the world. I am lucky to be working and remaining current and I try to be positive; every day that passes is one step closer to a brighter future.
